Allegation of beating the wife of an expatriate in Jhenaidah
Mosul Farida Begum, wife of Asadul, an expatriate from Chandpara village in Rakhalgachhi union of Kaliganj upazila, has lodged a complaint with Kaliganj police station.
Mohammad Al-Amin, 43, son of the late Habibullah of the same village, and his wife Nasima Begum, 38, and his daughter Halima Khatun, 20, entered my house at around 2 am on February 1 and verbally abused me, he said in the chargesheet. The blasphemy begins.
At one point, at Alamin’s direction, his wife and daughter grabbed my hair and threw it on the yard and started beating me with random punches and sticks. In this situation, my daughter Moni Akhter Rathi, a patient of Caesar’s sick, ran to stop me from their hands and in fact she was also beaten. At one point, they entered my house and forcibly snatched three lakh rupees from the sub-box.
Neighbors rushed to my rescue and rescued me. Then Alamin, his wife and daughter quickly ran away from my house. As my physical condition did not improve even with the first aid, I was admitted to the Kaliganj Thana Health Complex the next day and returned home after two days with the treatment from there. Speaking to the accused Alamin in this regard, it is known that there was no incident of fighting that day. It is completely false and fabricated. I will borrow money from Farida Begum. I went to his house to ask for money, but nothing happened.
Kaliganj Police Station OC Matlebur Rahman said, “I have received a complaint of a fight in Chand Para. I sent the police to verify the incident.” Necessary legal action will be taken in this regard.
