Retired headmaster of Sir Panchlia Secondary School, Taklimur Rahman Malek has passed away at Kotchandpur in Jhenaidah. (Innalillahi… ..Rajiun). He died on the way to Jessore Sadar Hospital on Monday afternoon.
He was 80 years old at the time of his death. He had been suffering from various complications due to brain stroke for a long time. The death of prominent social activist and educationist Taklimur Rahman Malek has cast a shadow of mourning over the society including teachers and students.
Funeral prayers of the deceased were held at 10:30 am on Tuesday at his favorite workplace Panchlia Secondary School ground premises. Later, the burial of this veteran teacher was completed in the family graveyard. During his career, he served as the headmaster of Panchlia Secondary School in Kotchandpur Upazila for 44 years with honesty, devotion and respect. This dear teacher also played a leading role in the establishment of this school.
He has also worked in Bangladesh Krishi Bank during his career. Hasanuzzaman Tushar, the only son of the late, is working as an associate professor in a private university in Dhaka. He is also survived by 3 daughters and many relatives.
